Let Your Words Warn You First !! Just a few days back, my kids woke up as usual Alhamdulillah! Their routines never stops, they are excited when they have a day off from school. The same morning, After breakfast, they started playing, it was time to study, my warnings were starting, my two naughty champions who are aged 7 and 5 were playing and wrestling, when I saw them, I told them to stop, they ignored my call, they continued, I again told them to stop, they went more into it, they started throwing the Lego blocks all around, a few of them were even broken and sharp, my next warning came out, this time I was even more loud and clear, I said " This is a warning, you will hurt yourself" no change at all !! I thought to my self that ignoring would make them quiet, it was going on and on, after 10 minutes of silence I said " don't think if mama is silent, you can continue." They looked at me and again did the same. I was exhausted trying to calm them down. When I saw that, none of my warnings were taken seriously and I also had a fear that they might hurt themselves badly, I went to them picked by all the Lego toys and threw them into the bin. They were all stunned, I told them I gave you warnings one after the other, but you did not stop, I showed them those sharp broken Lego blocks which would hurt them, and I made them sit in a naughty corner. Till they thought the matter was now serious and they had to stop. AT the back of all these warnings, I was continuously thinking about me being the Sinner and Allah SWT warning me, Wallahi, I was warning my kids and I was thinking, that this is the same way Allah SWT warns us, he waits patiently and allows us to stop from all the sins we commit, He warns us by showing us the dangers we can fall into, yet we pay no heed. We continue our lustful life, not fearing Him, not believing that He is watching us, we take His silence for granted, we think Allah doesn't care. He waits and waits, He warns and warns, we take Him for granted and ignore. Till one day, when He shows his anger, we then realise! We then complain, that it is Allah who punished us, but we don't think of the sins we did and only a few of us repent. It is indeed Allah who is The Forgiver of sins, We mothers forgive our children at the end of an exhausted day and love them again. Imagine Allah SWT who loves His servants 70 times more than a mother. It is only for us to look into ourselves and realise the truth. May we all be the obedient salves of Allah SWT. @Sharmeen Sayeeda
