Should I not direct you to a thing which, if you do, will foster love amongst you: spread (the practice of paying salutation to one another by saying) as-salamu alaykum.” [Sahih Muslim] ******* `Abdullaah ibn Mas`ood رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Verily, among the signs of the Hour is that greeting (of Islaam) is limited to those known only. In another report: A man will greet 'salaam' only to his intimate fellow. [Musnad Ahmad (3535), and graded as “Hasan” (good) by Shaikh Ahmad Shaakir.
