Being Good to your parents whether they are young, old, sick or even in the Akhria should come natural to a caring child. Some ways to become the coolness of their eyes - ☛ Lots of Duas for them in private & in public. ☛ Everytime you do a good deed (reciting Quran, observing Salah, giving Charity, performing Hajj, etc), have the intention that you are doing it because you want your parents to get the reward in'sha'Allah. ☛ Give them time, quality time. ☛ Have at least one meal together. ☛ Hug them every chance you get. ☛ Kiss their foreheads like it's the last time you will see them. ☛ Be the reason behind their smiles. ☛ Be a practicing Muslim & automatically they get the rewards too. ☛ Never ever, ever, ever show anger, shout or point fingers at them. ☛ Buy little gifts out of the blue. ☛ Take them out for dinners. ☛ Give them regular massages, especially their feet. ☛ Respond to their requests at the earliest time, just imagine every second that goes by after they ask you do something, Allah is not being pleased with you. ☛ Make them proud by doing the best you can in Religious and Worldly affairs. ☛ Never forget to say "I Love You" no matter how awkward you might find it. These are some of many good treatment examples from a child who has both of his parents waiting for him in the Akhira... "Rabbir Humhuma Kama Rabba'yahnee Sagheeran" "My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small." [Quran; Surah Al-Isra, Verse 24] Pic courtesy Rani hani
