A Mother's Dua- a SHORT TRUE STORY Abul Fath Ar Raazi was about ten years old at that time.He was in his native village Ar Raiy .One day some Islamic scholars came to the mosque in Ar Raiy while Ar Raazi was reading Al Qur'an.One of the scholars asked Ar Raazi to come forward and read. Ar Raazi tried his best to read Surathul Faathiha well, but he could not read as he was stammering. Then the scholar asked him:"Do you have a mother?" He said: "Yes". And he asked Ar Raazi to ask his mother to make Dua for him to bless him with the knowledge of Al Qur'an. Ar Raazi asked his mother to make Dua for him, and his mother supplicated to Almighty Allah to bless Ar Raazi with knowledge.Allah (SWT) bestowed good knowledge on him as a result of his mother's Dua. Time went on.Ar Raazi grew up and went to Baghdad. There he learnt Arabic and Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and went to his native village again. One day while Ar-Raazi was in the mosque he met the same scholar who advised him to seek his mother's Dua.The scholar said Salaam to everyone present, but the scholar did not recognize Ar Raazi .The scholar listened to their speeches. He was impressed by the different fields of knowledge the students had mastered in.He did not know what to say. Then he asked,"How do we learn like this?" Ar Raazi wanted to say to him (to the same scholar who advised him when he was small): 'If you have a mother ask her to ask Dua for you.' But he hesitated to say so. Therefore,my dear brothers and sisters ,we should know that the Duaas of our parents are essential for us in order to excel in studies and to prosper in our lives.
