Gifts of Allah -Tashrifa Farook This Sunday I organized a halqah for little kids at our home, I taught them about Gifts of Allah, first I discussed about blessing of Allah upon us, and then asked them to think about it, they came up with lots of suggestions. I also explained them Allah is Al Wahhab (The giver of gifts) To illustrate and strengthen understanding of blessings from Allah I did some activities with them ,For example, when thinking about our hands as a blessing from Allah ,I tied their hands and asked them perform some tasks such as writing .then they found it impossible and began to realize how important gift our hands to us . Then I did the same with the legs and eyes, I blindfolded their eyes too. After that when thinking about tongue, I asked them to try to say certain words and sentences without moving their tongues at all. And discussed about other blessing to, such being born as Muslim, our family etc. I also told them begin born as Muslim is the greatest gift some one could have. After that I started to do a lap book, but couldn't finish it fully. Finally had musical chair with nasheed on and the winner had to recite his favorite surah or dua. You could try this with your kids, niece & nephews and with lil siblings. This way you could teach them the other names of Allah and attributes too, then they will really ponder over it, rather than just making them to memorize without knowing the meaning.
