I was spending the afternoon cleaning up the house and doing laundry while my son spent his day running around and playing with his toys. In the past he had a problem with going out the front door but I was sure it was locked. I went down to switch a laundry load while my son watched cartoons, and when I came back up he wasn’t sitting there anymore. I didn’t think too much about it and continued with my chores. Then I passed by the door and saw that I had in fact NOT LOCKED IT! When I realized that I didn’t hear him making playful noises, or calling my name as he does every five minutes, I ran to check on him. I couldn’t find him anywhere, I panicked, my first thought was that he went out the front door. I was screaming for him Isaiah where are you?” No answer. I ran outside, around the block and even a few streets up to the park. I made a call to the local police for help. I was hysterical. I went back to the house and I was waiting for the police when I heard a little laughter coming from the coat closet! I opened the door and out he jumps, “Hi mom you found me! Your turn.” He turned around in the corner and began to count….1…2…3…4…I forgot I told him I would play hide and seek! That was the scariest game of hide and seek I’ve ever played! At least he was okay…
