His father passed away before his birth. He lived for a few years in the desert away from his mother. ... His mother passed away when he was six years old. His grandfather, his caretaker, passed away when he was ten years old. In his most trying years, his first wife passed away. His uncle who raised and supported him, passed away. He left his place of birth due to persecution and had to migrate. He buried all but one of his many children. He bled from stones and rocks thrown at him, from adults to children, yet asked Allah to pardon them. Someone tried to strangle him to death, unsuccessfully. Someone tried to throw a heavy stone on him to kill him, unsuccessfully. Many attempts were made on his life, unsuccessfully. His beloved uncle Hamza (RA) was killed in battle, and his liver bitten into, by a woman who would later become Muslim. No revenge was taken. He returned to the land he had to leave, and took no revenge on those that mocked and harassed him. Yet through all this, there isn’t one recorded complaint about the events that occurred in his life. He remained thankful and steadfast in his prayers to the Almighty Allah, and encouraged others to do the same. His name was Muhammad (peace be upon him) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Our trials, sorrows and sufferings are nothing compared to that of our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH.
